Shopify is hiring a Senior Security Analyst to join their Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. You’ll play a key role in analyzing and improving the effectiveness, security, and usability of internal IAM controls and systems. Your insights will directly support Shopify’s global operations and fast-paced innovation.

This is a high-impact role requiring technical curiosity, strong data analysis, and collaboration across engineering and security teams.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze IAM security controls for effectiveness and user impact

  • Drive improvements to workflows through automation and better data visibility

  • Measure and monitor key metrics across Shopify’s IAM systems

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to refine security while improving usability

  • Investigate gaps during incidents and offer actionable recommendations

  • Create dashboards and visual reports using SQL and analytical tools

✅ Qualifications

  • Strong analytical mindset and self-driven problem-solver

  • Proficient in SQL, data dashboards, and reporting tools

  • Coding literacy and ability to interpret code for system/security analysis

  • Experience working with IAM systems (e.g., Okta), security, and compliance

  • Effective communication skills for translating complex data into insights

  • Experience in roles requiring high independence and decision-making

  • Familiarity with AI tools to enhance workflow is a plus
